Emma Raducanu has taken to social media to give her reaction following her US Open victory on Saturday night. The Briton defeated Canada’s Leylah Fernandez in straight sets to win her first major tournament at the age of just 18.
The teenager took to Twitter on Sunday morning to post a picture of herself with the US Open trophy.
“We are taking her HOMEEE,” gushed Raducanu alongside a string of celebratory emojis.
Raducanu has been in incredible form during her debut US Open and didn’t drop a single set on her way to lifting the coveted trophy.
The tennis sensation came through three qualifying matches before seeing off her seven opponents in the main draw to claim the title.
