Emma Raducanu makes Wimbledon claim as she names Grand Slam win she craves most

“Just because it’s such a prestigious event at home, and with all the home support I think it would be very special.”

The 18-year-old has already had something of a fairy-tale run at the All England Club, making her Grand Slam debut as a wild card while ranked down at world No.338 earlier this year.

She made it all the way to the second week before retiring from her fourth-round match with breathing difficulties, but the run put her on the radar as a player to watch.

Raducanu has more than surpassed the early expectations that may have been placed on her following her exploits at the grass-court Major by going on to win the very next Grand Slam she entered.
