Ellen DeGeneres challenges fellow talk show host and guest James Corden to push-up challenge

James Corden was challenged to a push-up challenge by fellow talk show host Ellen DeGeneres while appearing on her show.

The 42-year-old English comic during a remote appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Tuesday spoke about losing 25 lbs. as a spokesman for WW.

Ellen, 63, then revealed in a preview clip provided Monday that her whole crew does push-ups after rehearsal and they wanted to challenge James and his crew to see who could do the most push-ups.

‘Are you up for that?,’ Ellen asked.

‘Do I have to do it?,’ James asked.

‘Yeah,’ Ellen answered.

‘That does change things,’ James joked before accepting the challenge.

Ellen suggested that they attempt the challenge next season and said it has become a ‘bonding thing’ among her crew.

‘We really love doing it. We started doing it a while back and we do it every day,’ Ellen said.

‘Well I’ll be lighter by than so hopefully I’ll have done another 20 lbs and then I’ll at least be able to do five,’ James quipped.

James was on the daytime talk show promoting his new live-action/animated sequel Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway.

The film is a sequel to the 2018 movie Peter Rabbit and James will again provide the voice of the title character.

Peter Rabbit 2 endured several delays from its original February 2020 release date due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was released in March in Australia, followed by a release on May 17 in the United Kingdom.

It is scheduled for release in the US on June 11.

Gucci guy: Ellen also asked James about appearing in the Gucci campaign during the interview airing Tuesday
