    Josie Geller is back.

On Wednesday Drew Barrymore was seen once again reviving her character from the 1999 comedy Never Been Kissed, donning the same pink satin prom dress as seen in the movie.

Drew, 46, was on her way to film season two of her series The Drew Barrymore Show, which reportedly begins production this week in front of a live, fully vaccinated audience.

The E.T. star first brought Josie back on the November 6 of the show last year, featuring in the Drew’s News segment.

Drew appeared as Josie ‘Grossie’ Geller with the prom dress, matching scrunchie and braces, stepping straight out of 1988 with no knowledge of anything that has happened since then.

Although it received mixed reviews at the time, the film has proved an enduring delight for rom-com fans.

In July this year, Deadline reported that Drew’s talk-show would be moving ahead with a fully vaccinated live audience, with filming beginning today, at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York.

Last year, Drew invited ‘Josie’ onto the show and gave her a chance to report on the ongoing presidential election circus for her Drew’s News segment.

Josie like Drew herself would have been in high school in the late 1980s so the assignment led to a bit of confusion.

She did report on the presidential election but she was talking about the one between George Bush Sr. and Michael Dukakis in 1988.

‘Oh, Josie, you’ve missed so much. A lot has happened since 1988,’ says Drew sympathetically, prompting Josie to cheerfully say that ‘my money is on Michael Dukakis. Never underestimate an underdog! Have you seen Karate KId?’

In the film Josie’s brother was called Rob Geller in a striking similarity to the character Ross Geller on Friends which was a huge TV hit at the time.

Rob was played by David Arquette who the year of the film’s release married Courteney Cox – who of course was playing Ross’ sister Monica on Friends.

David and Courteney also starred with Drew in the original Scream movie where she played the platinum blonde Casey Becker who falls prey to serial killer Ghostface.
