The entire caption read: ‘Today is really triggering for me, what gets me through is the hope that it’s a chance to reach those who are silently suffering. On World Suicide Prevention Day I want to remind you that you are not alone.

‘This year especially, has been so hard and there is absolutely no shame in asking for help. You are loved. People care. Don’t struggle alone. There is always hope for a better day. @samaritanscharity 116 123.’

Llŷr died weeks before he was due to start medical school – and since the heartbreaking news, Dr Alex, who rose to prominence on Love Island in 2018, has gone on to become the UK Youth Mental Health Ambassador within the Department for Education.

In July, Dr Alex paid tribute to his brother one year on from his death.

He wrote: ‘I can’t believe it’s been a year. Some days I really can’t accept or understand that you are not here. We miss you so much Llŷr.

‘You give me so much strength, even when times are tough and it would be easy to give up.

‘Mum, Dad and Elliott are doing ok, they miss you so much too. I would do anything to go out for a spin in the car with you again. Love you x’
