Courtney Stodden aligned themself with Pink on Tuesday evening in an Instagram post defending her comments criticizing the parents of the popular YouTuber Piper Rockelle.

The 27-year-old reality star wrote that children like Piper may have difficulty distinguishing ‘attention they receive online from predatory behavior.’

Pink, 41, took Rockelle’s parents to task on Sunday after the 14-year-old posted photos of herself in a bikini that were taken by her mother.

Courtney’s post featured a backlit photo of themself highlighting their makeup-free face.

The social media star, who came out as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, wore a gray tank top and had their blond tresses cut into a bob while wearing a set of AirPods.

They defended Pink while explaining that children around Rockelle’s age might not be mature enough to realize that they were being sexualized.

It’s hard for children to separate attention they receive online from predatory behavior from adults,’ Courtney wrote.

‘It’s our responsibility as a society to step up and protect our kids as much as we can from falling victim to this cycle of digital grooming. As adults, we can see what they can’t.’

Courtney didn’t mention Rockelle or Pink in the text of their caption, but they made it clear whom they were referring to with the hashtags ‘#piperrockelle’ and ‘#pink,’ while also tagging the songstress.

Stodden is best known for being branded the ‘teen bride’ after they married Green Mile actor Doug Hutchison, who was then 50, in 2011, when they were only 16.

The reality star was often presented in hypersexualized outfits despite being a minor, and they received a torrent of online abuse, most notably from Chrissy Teigen, who urged them to take a ‘dirt nap,’ slang for dying.

But over time, Stodden came to see themself as a victim of Hutchison and their parents’ lax care.

In a May interview with The Daily Beast, they claimed that their divorce from Hutchison, which was finalized in March of 2020, was drawn out because they were still being ‘groomed.’

‘It took me a really long time to understand what “grooming” even meant, because if you would have asked me what grooming meant when I married Doug, I would have said, “Take your dog to the groomers?” I didn’t know what it meant,’ they explained.

They continued, explaining that it was hard to live on their own after Hutchison had moved to Michigan because they hadn’t even obtained things like a driver’s license while married.

‘I was over the relationship and wanted to move on, but when he left, I was terrified to be on my own.’

Pink initially inspired Courtney’s comments when she accused Rockelle’s parents of exploiting her in a tweet from Sunday.

‘How many kids like Piper Rockelle are being exploited by their parents? And at what point do the rest of us say… “this isn’t okay for a 13 yr old to be posing in a bikini whilst her MOTHER takes the photo?!?!”‘ the singer wrote.

However Piper, who recently celebrated her 14th birthday and has over eight million subscribers on YouTube, insists her mother doesn’t make her do anything, and is only encouraging her to follow her dreams.

‘The first thing I want everyone to know is that my mom doesn’t make me do anything. Quite the opposite, I’m a kid who had a dream and my mom is amazing enough to help me live it out,’ the YouTuber told TMZ.

‘I don’t think P!nk has ever seen one of my YouTube videos because if she did she’d see it’s just my friends and me having fun and acting like ourselves. The content we make is the kind of stuff anyone can watch.’

‘I know there are kids who are being taken advantage of and that’s a real problem, but I’m not one of them,’ she said.

Speaking with Today, Piper pointed out that Pink was also 14 when she joined the all-female group Basic Instinct.

‘Why was it OK for her to follow her dreams but not OK for me to follow mine?’ she said.

Tiffany Rockelle, Piper’s mother, said she was simply supporting her daughter’s aspirations.

‘Since Piper was a child, she has had a strong love of performing and she has always had a dream,’ Tiffany told Today.

‘So long as Piper wants to do this and it’s her passion, I’m here for her to follow that dream and protect her.’

Piper, who describes herself as ‘a girl living my dream in Hollywood’ on her YouTube channel, posts videos of herself doing ‘boyfriend challenges, crush challenges, 24, challenges,’ and more.

Her most recent video, We Became Lifeguards For A Day!!, amassed 1.3 million views within a day of being posted.

The tweet comes just days after it emerged that Pink’s father, Vietnam veteran Jim Moore, passed away after a battle with prostate cancer.

The singer posted a tribute to her father last week before deleting it, prompting fans to question what was wrong.

She later re-uploaded the post the next day with two adorable throwbacks of herself and her father with the caption: ‘Til forever.’
