Celeste Barber shares devastating news as her husband Api Robin's dad dies

Celeste Barber has announced the tragic news that her husband, Api Robin, has lost his father. 

The comedian shared the sad turn of events with her followers on Sunday, posting images of Api’s dad, Jimmy, to her Instagram Stories. 

The 39-year-old revealed that Jimmy had passed away on the eve of Father’s Day.

‘Today is Father’s Day in Australia and last night my most beautiful husband lost his dad, his hero,’ Celeste wrote in her caption. 

She added: ‘Rest well jimmy, you’re as good as it gets.’

Alongside the caption was a sweet black and white photo of Api with his father, who had a hand gently placed on his chest.

The funnywoman has been with her husband Api, 48, for 18 years, with the pair marrying a decade after they met.

The couple, who showcase their lives on social media, share two sons, Lou, aged nine, and Buddy, aged 6. 

Celeste, who met Api at a pub when she was 21, is also step-mother to Api’s two daughters, Kyah, 20 and Sahra, 18.
