And Just Like That… we’re back in Paris: Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big return to the city of love as Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth film scenes for Sex And The City spin-off

Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth were back in familiar surroundings on Sunday evening as filming commenced on the Paris set of new Sex And The City spin-off, And Just Like That.

With romance evidently the order of the day, the screen couple were seen gazing earnestly at one another while shooting a scene on the appropriately scenic Passerelle des Arts.

Crossing the French capital’s River Seine, the pedestrian footbridge is a popular tourist destination, with visiting couples frequently attaching padlocks with their first names written or engraved on them to the railing as a romantic gesture.

Wearing a stylish floral print dress, Parker, 56 – dressed in character as fashion conscious socialite Carrie Bradshaw – looked typically stylish as she filmed her latest scenes on the Parisian landmark.

Meanwhile Noth, 66, wore the trademark charcoal grey suit favored by his character as they shared what appeared to be an intimate conversation.

Paris holds fond memories for the pair after Big famously travelled to the French capital on a mercy mission to rescue Carrie from a doomed relationship with emotionless Russian artist Aleksandr Petrovsky – a move that ultimately rekindled their romance.

But while times have changed since that season six reunion in 2004, the chemistry was still evident as they returned to Paris on Sunday.

In July, leaked scripts revealed that Carrie wasn’t so sure about her role in her marriage to Big, according to Page Six.

In the scene, Carrie is dining out with a few of her best friends, including Stanford Blatch, played by the late Willie Garson,  Hobbes (Nixon) and York (Davis).

Bradshaw, who’s now in her 50’s and hosts a podcast, seems to say she isn’t in a good place: ‘I was taping the podcast, I was washing my hair. Yes, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, but at least I felt good about my marriage. Now I’m just one of the wives he was taking care of?’

Carrie and Big were married at the New York Public Library after plans failed for an elaborate luxury wedding in the first Sex and the City movie.

Noth admitted he was ‘hesitant’ to reprise his Mr. Big role for the revival and felt as though he gave the character his all, but was swayed to come back after a little pep talk from producers.

‘It was a little bit of a sort of creative negotiation because I didn’t really feel I had anything to offer in that role again,’ he told Yahoo! Finance Live. ‘It kind of felt like I had done it.

‘But [executive producer] Michael Patrick King is just an incredible writer and has incredible creative ideas. And once we got together and talked about the potential of what we could do with the character, I was all in.’
