Boris Johnson breaks silence over Owen Paterson resignation 'Very sad'

    Prime Minister Boris Johnson has spoken out following Owen Paterson’s resignation as MP: “I am very sad that Parliament will lose the services of Owen Paterson who has been a friend and colleague of mine for decades.” Calling him “a voice for freedom”, he applauded him for promoting “free markets and free trades and free societies” and recognised him as “an early and powerful champion of Brexit”.
