Kay and Royce of The IIconics defeated The Boss ’n’ hug Connection at WrestleMania 35 in a Fatal 4-Way Match, which also included Nia Jax and Tamina as well as Beth Phoenix and Natalya.
Various reports then suggested that Banks and Bayley were frustrated with the result and loudly vented their frustrations in the locker room and the hotel after their loss.
However, The IIconics said that they were all in tears following the bout and that the former champions were very excited for their title win at WrestleMania.
The Australian duo added that the ex-RAW Women’s Champions joined them in their celebrations and even took photos with them to commemorate their triumph.
The former NXT stars didn’t hear or see anything else that would confirm the speculation.
Royce told Express Sport: “Immediately after the match we were all in tears, all crying.
“Just filled with emotion, we got pictures together which we then posted on our Instagram.
“I mean, I know there’s all these rumours going around and we didn’t see anything.
“Everyone was super happy and excited for us.
“The rumours to us is [that] we didn’t see anything that we’re hearing.”
Kay insists they don’t pay attention to such rumours as all they care about is the incredible experience they had at WrestleMania with Banks and Bayley as well as their other opponents.
The 29-year-old WWE star added: “Yeah, we don’t really pay attention to rumours or social media and all that kind of stuff in that aspect.
“We had a great experience with them and it holds a really special place in our hearts.
“You can find them [pictures], we’re all embracing each other.”
