Ajay Rochester has revealed she is planning to follow in Rebel Wilson’s footsteps and declared her ‘year of health’.
The former Biggest Loser host, 52, announced she is planning to drop the kilos she gained in lockdown following a health scare.
‘It’s time to take my health and fitness back! If Rebel Wilson can do it I can too!’ she wrote alongside a selfie of her in hospital.

‘Am I going to be the latest fat girl standing?’ Former Biggest Loser host Ajay Rochester, 52, (pictured) has vowed to follow in Rebel Wilson and lose some weight
Ajay explained that she ended up in the emergency room for a electrocardiogram after her heart started to flutter, causing her blood pressure to rise and panic.
‘I’m fine. My EKG was normal, but it was enough of a scare to make me wake up and get serious. So here’s to MY year of health!’ she wrote.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Ajay said she was shocked to discover how big she was after seeing photos of herself snorkelling and swimming earlier this year.

Wake up call: The former Biggest Loser host, 52, announced she is planning to drop the kilos she gained in lockdown following a health scare

‘I looked at myself and went “sh*t on a little bigger than I thought it was” and, I was quite shocked and, and a little scared for my health,’ she told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday
‘I looked at myself and went “sh*t on a little bigger than I thought it was” and, I was quite shocked and, and a little scared for my health.’
‘It really was like, “oh my God, holy sh*t. What happened?” I’m like, well, you know, quarantine happened and, I don’t know what happened. I lost the plot.
‘I’ve been so inspired by Rebel’s weight loss. I was like, all the fat girls around me are getting thin. Mama June (Here Comes Honey Boo Boo) lost the weight and now, Rebel has lost all the weight.

‘I lost the plot’: Ajay said that she blames being stuck in Los Angeles and Sydney lockdowns for her food choices
Ajay went on to say that she didn’t want to be the ‘last fat girl standing’.
‘I was literally up in Rebel’s Instagram and she was doing like the stairs at the Opera House with her hot trainer. I’m like, well, I’m going to do the stairs,’ she laughed.
‘I’m going to follow in her footsteps and I’m declaring this my year of health.’

Inspired: Ajay said that she has been so inspired by actress Rebel Wilson’s recent weight loss she has decided to declare her year of health

She’s done it before: Back in 2019, the Aussie TV host lost a whopping 10 kilos in just 10 days during her stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Back in 2020, Rebel documented her incredible weight loss journey after enlisting celebrity trainer Jono Castano.
She told The Weekend Briefing podcast on LiSTNR that she was ‘proud’ of herself as reflected on her hard work over the past year.
The actress explained that her weight loss was about a lifestyle change and to be a ‘healthier version’ of herself, rather that reaching a certain weight.
‘To me what the year of health was, was just being a healthier version,’ she said, noting that working on her fertility and curbing emotional eating were her goals.
‘It wasn’t about losing a set amount of weight, although I did put a goal original of 75 kilos so I could have something tangible to work towards. But it’s not about a number or a dress size, or anything like that.
