Olympian Bianca Walkden was unable to contain her emotions and broke down in tears after seeing her teammate Jade Jones lose to Olympic refugee team member Alizadeh Zenoorin. Many British fans had high hopes for GB’s Jade Jones and were left stunned at her shock exit. The two-time taekwondo Olympic champion was the favourite to win against the bronze medalist from Rio de Janeiro.
However, Ms Zenoorin was able to seal her victory with a 6-2 win and 6-4 win after a loss to Ms Jones 6-4.
Bianca Walkden, like many other GB athletes, were left stunned, with Ms Walkden crying into her hands as she was consoled.
