    Australian model Belle Lucia has started a discussion about why parents shouldn’t post photos of their children on social media.

    The 25-year-old revealed the nine reasons why she doesn’t post images of her family on Instagram.

    One fan asked the model during a Q&A session: ‘Why don’t you show your partner or sons face? We have already seen what they look like.’

    ‘I have posted a rare photo or two of my son as a newborn but never his whole face/ his name and personal details. He looks completely different to when he was a baby now,’ she explained.

    Belle went on to say she doesn’t post images of her son for ‘privacy reasons, because social media is relatively new and no one knows the affect it has on children and my son isn’t old enough to decide if he wants to be online or not’.

    She also explained she has a public Instagram account and doesn’t post photos for safety reasons.

    ‘For example when my son starts nursery, anyone can pretend he’s his uncle/ cousin/ godmother etc and pick him up’ she said.

    Belle went on to say she wants to prevent bullying, save her son from embarrassment and that she doesn’t want to exploit or profit off my child’.

    ‘Everyone parents differently and it’s completely fine if you post your kids daily…I was in an abusive relationship so maybe that’s shaped how protective I am,’ she added.

    ‘My abuser is serving a prison sentence for abusing me (he’s not my partner and dad of my child) but it makes me sick to think he could see images of my family online.’

    Belle gave birth to a boy in early October 2019, after enduring three days of erratic contractions, antibiotics and pain with her English boyfriend Alex by her side.
