Arsenal have already made contact with Alexander Isak’s representatives according to reports and have several players they could sell to helpfund a move for the Sweden star. Isak has been the subject of plenty of transfer speculation after catching the eye at Euro 2020.

The 21-year-old forward has been the stand-out player for a Sweden side which qualified for the last 16 by drawing 0-0 with Spain and beating Slovakia 1-0 and Poland 3-2.

Although he is yet to score, Isak has impressed with his direct approach, pace and skill on the ball, picking up an assist in the exciting win over Poland on Wednesday.

Isak currently plays for Real Sociedad, but it seems that the Spanish side may face a challenge to keep hold of him this summer.

Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with moves for Isak in the Spanish press over recent weeks.

Isak only joined Real Sociedad from Borussia Dortmund in June 2019 for £5.85million, but is already being touted for a big-money move this summer.

Isak is an exciting prospect, but £60m is a sizable fee for his signature, meaning they may have to sell in order to afford him.

One player who can raise some much-needed funds is Granit Xhaka, who has been strongly linked with a move to Roma.

Jose Mourinho is said to want the Swiss international midfielder and Arsenal are holding out for their asking price. Transfermarkt values him at £19.8m, but according to Calciomercato.com Roma are intent on using add-ons to reach an agreement for nearer to £12.85m (€15m).

Negotiations are likely to rumble on, but it seems that Arsenal will eventually get their wish of moving Xhaka on.

Another useful chunk of money could come from the sale of Hector Bellerin, who Transfermarkt value at £22.5m.

Bellerin lost his place in the Arsenal side to Calum Chambers last season and has long been linked with a move back to his native Spain.

Inter Milan have also been mentioned recently, with the Italian side looking for a replacement for Achraf Hakimi, who is set to leave for Paris Saint-Germain.

The 26-year-old has plenty of experience behind him and, with two years still left on his contract, should fetch a decent price on the market.

If Arsenal need more money then they could also consider selling Alexandre Lacazette, who is said to be worth £25.2m. Lacazette has one year left on his contract and has been linked with a move over recent weeks.

If Isak is a serious target then Lacazette may well feel compelled to move, rather than run down his contract as a second-choice.
