The England captain has notched just once in the Premier League all season, and although he is known to start seasons slowly, his performances have left a lot to be desired.

Conte could give him a new lease of life, however, just as he did with Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan last season.

The former Chelsea boss is a long-time admirer of Kane’s and will want to get the striker back scoring again if he takes over.

“For me, Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world,” admitted the Italian back in 2017.
