There are fears that Green may not be able to commit enough time to Raducanu once the off-season concludes as he will be preparing for next year with Dominic Thiem. It remains to be seen whether Green is able to extend his work with Raducanu whilst also working with the 2020 US Open winner, or if he will be forced to focus purely on the latter.

Raducanu’s former coach Dmitry Tursunov has also revealed that the teenager must be seen as a long-term project by his successor, telling Tennis Majors: “In my opinion, she’s minimum a one-year project but I would say that she’s probably a two-and-a-half-year project to be on the safe side.

“Of course, it’s hard to say that and it’s hard for people to understand how it is possible because she already won the US Open. But, in my opinion, her game is very raw, and I think in many ways it could use a lot of improvement. It’s going to take some time.”
