    Andy Lee reveals the unglamorous side of working in TV as he records a voiceover in a very basic makeshift home studio


    Andy Lee has given fans a glimpse of the unglamorous side of working in TV.

    The comedian, 40, shared video of himself on Instagram recording a voiceover for his Channel Nine game show, The Hundred, on Tuesday.

    While he may be used to standing in a recording booth with professional equipment, Sydney’s strict lockdown has meant he has had to improvise production.

    Andy was forced use his own equipment and create a makeshift home studio.

    His studio comprised of a handheld microphone, with a small sound mixing board that was connected to a laptop on his lap.

    Andy hit record and covered himself with a knitted blanket to sound proof his recording.

    Andy joked in the caption that his video was a ‘look at the glamour of showbiz and the highly technical recording of the opening titles VO for The Hundred!’

    The premise of the show asks 100 Australians from across the country to weigh in on different topics from lockdowns and anti-vaxxers to sleeping in the nude and checking the toilet before flushing.

    Away from home: Andy has been living in Sydney for the past couple of months to film the statistics-based comedy show, leaving his girlfriend Rebecca Harding and their dog Henri behind in Melbourne
