Publishers revealed the memoir will provide a detailed account of his decision to give up his royal duties and relocate to America.

The publishers confirmed proceeds from the book would go to charity in the form of two donations, with $1.5m (£1.3m) and £300,000 given to the charities Sentebale and WellChild.
