Selena Gomez models stylish hoops as she hugs pal goodbye during casual outing in Los Angeles

She is a global superstar with legions of fans.

But Selena Gomez was seen enjoying a casual and comfortable moment with a pal while out and about in Los Angeles this Friday.

The 29-year-old sensation could be seen bundling up in a dark sweater and sharing a hug with a female friend before heading off into her car.

Selena swept her hair up into a high ponytail and added a splash of dazzle to her look with a stylish pair of hoop earrings. 

On the professional front Selena can currently be seen on the Hulu sitcom Only Murders In The Building opposite comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Episodes began dropping on the streaming service at the end of August and will continue to do so until the season one finale on October 19. 

During the shoot she was seen getting close to her co-star Aaron Dominguez which set off a flurry of dating rumors – until it emerged they were just filming a scene.

‘We had just started working together. I honestly thought: “No wonder guys don’t want to date me!”‘ she quipped to the Los Angeles Times.

‘I think people only care because I’m young, and the older I get the less they’ll care. For now it’s a part of the job that I don’t really like. I’m actually grateful that I’m not involved with anyone right now,’ Selena confessed.

Steve created the new series with John Hoffman who has written on such shows as Grace And Frankie and Looking.

Selena, Steve and Martin all play people who all live in the same apartment building and are all very into true-crime.

When someone is murdered in their building the three lead characters wind up using their amateur sleuthing skills to try and get to the bottom of the mystery.

Since its release the show has been met with critical acclaim to the tune of a whopping 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

As for music Selena released her first Spanish-language EP Revelacion earlier this year after dropping singles from it like De Una Vez.
