Britney Spears’ brother Bryan Spears did not have anything to say about the suspension of their father Jamie Spears as her conservator when he was approached on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The 44-year-old film and television producer was spotted with his girlfriend Amber Lynn Conklin at The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks, California, just after a judge took away Jamie’s control of Britney’s finances.

The pop star’s sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 30, also avoided the subject of her sister’s legal victory in an Instagram post from Friday.

Bryan and Amber were seen in the parking lot of The Oaks Mall, which isn’t too far from Britney’s Thousand Oaks home.

He wore a faded blue Supercross T-shirt with camouflage shorts and white Nike trainers, plus a black Las Vegas Raiders cap.

Amber had on a black jacket over a red top and shredded jeans.

According to Page Six, a photographer asked: ‘How do you feel about your father being removed from Britney’s conservatorship?’

Bryan didn’t comment and kept walking ahead.

Happy for her: Although Bryan wouldn't speak about the conservatorship, his girlfriend Amber Lynn Conklin said he was'very happy' for Britney after her engagement to Sam Asghari

When he was asked about his sister’s engagement to Sam Asghari, Amber Lynn answered for him.

‘He’s very happy for her!’ she said.

‘“We’re always happy for her,’ Bryan chimed in as he got into his car.

In July of 2020, he spoke out about the conservatorship during an appearance on the As NOT Seen On TV podcast, where he seemed to defend the arrangement that controls Britney’s finances and many of her major life decisions.

‘She’s been in this thing for quite some time now. Obviously there was a need for it in the beginning,’ he said.

‘Now they’ve made some changes and all we can do is hope for the best.’

To clarify that he was on board with the conservatorship, he added that it had ‘been a great thing for our family, to this point, and [we] keep hoping for the best.’

In the same interview, he called the pop star the ‘worst driver in the world’ and complained about ‘how many females I have in this house,’ seemingly referring to his mother Lynne Spears, Britney and his younger sister Jamie Lynn.

The youngest Spears family member also kept mum about Jamie’s suspension on her social media accounts.

On Friday, she acted as if nothing had happened when she posed in a raunchy graphic sweatshirt reading ‘F*** the Friendship’ and a blue-and-pink floral bucket hat.

It’s not clear if the confrontational shirt was a dig at her sister or merely a humorous clothing item.

‘Should I wear this for school pick up this afternoon lol?’ she joked in her caption.

Some fans wondered if Britney had taken a dig at Jamie Lynn in the caption to a post from Thursday.

The pop star shared a short video of herself getting to fly a plane for the first time.

At the bottom of her caption, she added the postscript: ‘Pssss bringing the ship [boat emoji] home, JL … Stay classy beautiful people !!!!’

The line appeared to reference Jamie Lynn’s post from Tuesday, in which she shared photos of a softball tournament with her daughter Maddie.

‘Fun weekend with this amazing group of girls- took home the [ship emoji],’ she wrote.

Britney also used the initials ‘JL,’ and Jamie Lynn had recently changed her Instagram bio so that it simply read, ‘JL.’

On Thursday, Britney celebrated her conservatorship win by posting a topless video and several nude photos to Instagram.

Although she got plenty of support in the comments — including from her fiancé Sam Asghari and her friend Paris Hilton — many fans expressed concerns about her mental state in the wake of the risqué photos.

‘Is this the look of a mentally healthy person?’ one fan asked, while another shared fears about the ‘horrible vacant look in her eyes’, adding: ‘I’m all for sexual liberation and nudity but this feels off.’

‘Something about this just doesn’t feel right,’ noted one comment that received thousands of likes.

Another chimed in: ‘Idk how everyone is thinking this is normal. “She’s free!” No.’

‘Oh Britney, you don’t have to do that,’ urged one person.

On Wednesday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny suspended Britney’s father Jamie Spears as her conservator, after her lawyer Mathew Rosengart had asked the court to remove him.

In Spears’ place, Judge Penny appointed the accountant John Zebel as temporary conservator.

He’ll be in charge of Britney’s finances until a decision is made on whether or not the conservatorship should be terminated.

After the decision, Rosengart thanked Britney’s fans and supporters of the #FreeBritney movement.

He called the ruling a ‘substantial step toward [Britney’s] freedom’ but warned that there are additional allegations of misconduct and mistreatment that are being investigated by authorities.

‘Today’s a great day. It’s a great day for Britney Spears and it’s a great day for justice. And there’s definitely something to celebrate. But it’s also a solemn day. Britney Spears has been faced with a decade-long nightmare orchestrated by her father and others,’ Rosengart said after the hearing.

‘I’m so proud of her for her courage, her strength… and she’s so pleased and so thankful to all of you,’ he continued.

‘I think the support of the Free Britney movement has been instrumental.’

Rosengart also threatened that his client would ‘absolutely’ sue Jamie if any evidence emerged that he had stolen her money.

In her ruling, Judge Penny said that removing Jamie Spears was ‘in the best instants of Ms. Spears.’

She added that filings from Britney’s lawyer indicated a ‘toxic environment’ that could only be righted by removing her father from his position.

As part of his suspension, Jamie will have to turn over any records on Britney’s finances that he accrued while leading her conservatorship.

Rosengart suggested after the ruling that Britney’s father might be reticent to give the court a look into his financial decisions for his daughter.

‘He did a 180… Now he’s saying let’s terminate the entire conservatorship. He wants to terminate because he doesn’t want to be deposed under oath or give discovery,’ Rosengart claimed. ‘What he is afraid of is the revelations of his corruption.’
