Monday night’s 2021 Dally M Awards saw a sea of WAGs flooding the red carpet wearing an array of dazzling fashion choices.

While many of the footballer’s wives and girlfriends understood the assignment, a few didn’t quite meet the mark.

Among those who were best in show was Maria Glinellis, the girlfriend of Rooster’s player James Tedesco, who kept things cool while turning up the heat.

She ensured all eyes were on her in a slinky black frock with sultry cut-outs that showed off just enough skin and perfectly skimmed her slender figure.

The halter neck dress had a plunging neckline that showed off a hint of bust and fit like a glove.

She chose a pink makeup palette with a rosewood lipstick and wore her brunette hair in soft curls, all adding up to a classically smoldering look.

Also winning fashion accolades was Kristi Wilkinson, the girlfriend of Daly M Award-winning Manly player, Tom Trbojevic.

Kristi absolutely glowed in a silky white Aura Gown frock from the brand Grace Loves Lace, which brought old Hollywood vibes to the Brisbane red carpet.

The gorgeous pearl tone of the fabric beautifully offset her flaxen locks and warm skin tone, and the dress fitted to her figure with tailored precision before flaring out for a bit of whimsy.

Flawlessly put together, she chose a bronzed makeup palette and wore her blonde hair up in a high bun, with loose strands around her face.

The beauty added delicate accessories and carried a pale, pink clutch, along with a pair of glittering earrings.

Kelsey Browne, the girlfriend of Storm player Ryan Papenhuyzen, stood out from a sea of black dresses by bravely opting for bright pink.

The soft satin detailing across the midriff showed off a tantalising hint of skin and the trailing train added to the candy-coloured Grecian silhouette.

The brunette chose a bronzed makeup look with a coral lipstick and wore her hair off her face while carrying a contrasting red clutch.

Red carpet read: Kate Daly, the wife of Broncos player Ali Brigginshaw, could not have hit the mark harder with her opulent, black satin gown. Both pictured

She looked truly award-ceremony ready in the dress, which despite its generous proportions, never felt like it was wearing her.

The layers of gathering and bow details, as well as a long train, added a romantic edge, and the open back flashed some skin.

Kate kept bringing the glamour by wearing her blonde hair back in a dramatic half-slicked do, and chose a highlighted makeup look with pale pink lipstick.

A bit much: She appeared a bit swallowed up by the thick layering, and the ornate top portion, featuring a low neckline that showed off some bust, seemed to slouch. Pictured with husband Dane Gaga

The girlfriend of Rabbitohs player Alex Johnston wore the dress well – it featured a thigh-high split, a long train, and a low neckline with huge, ruffled princess sleeves.

She added white heels as well as a statement ring with a red stone that matched her red nails, while wearing her hair down around her shoulders, making for a pretty, but confusing ensemble.

Lace: Zoe Warwick (pictured) looked gorgeous, but her dress created a confusing silhouette - the combination of a thigh-high split, nude lace, ruffles, gathered portions and sheer panels broke up any clean lines

The frock was gorgeous and she looked beautifully put together – but it wasn’t the best fit on her slender frame.

She appeared a bit swallowed up by the thick layering, and the ornate top portion, featuring a low neckline that showed off some bust, seemed to slouch.

Letting the dress do the talking, Kelly wore understated nude shoes and carried a pale clutch.

She opted for a Hollywood movie star hairdo, soft makeup and a matte pink lipstick, as well as a pair of pearl earrings with a matching bracelet.

Zoe Warwick, the partner of Matt Burton, looked gorgeous, but her dress created a confusing silhouette – the combination of a thigh-high split, nude lace, ruffles, gathered portions and sheer panels broke up any clean lines.

Her wonderful figure was lost in the maze of fabric, and frayed threads left an untidy impression.

Making an impression: Amy Wood (pictured) looked great in red and had her sensational figure on display, but the cut of her dress let her down

Unusual: The red, satin gown with corset detailing accentuated her bust, and the thigh high split showed off her shapely pins, but the combination of the odd length of the hem and the bunching along the skirt made for an odd fit.  Pictured with Bradman Best

The stunner was otherwise flawless – she wore strands of her blonde hair down prettily around her face, added statement earrings and a smoky eye makeup look.

Safe: Mickenzie McManus (pictured) kept things simple and played it safe - a little too safe. She opted for a white, Grecian style gown, which featured a one-shoulder design and skimmed her slender figure, as well as a racy hip-high split, which showcased her slim pins

The beauty added towering gold heels, but the look arrived on the red carpet with more of a whimper than a bang, with the dress seeming a tad too large for her, too.
