Former Bachelor Matt Agnew has been secretly living in Sydney for almost a year

Former Bachelor Matt Agnew has been secretly living in Sydney after he was forced to move out of his two-bedroom 1890s Richmond home back in March last year.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the 34-year-old astrophysicist decided to move to the Emerald City in September. 

Agnew had been renting a inner-city home in West Richmond for $470 per week since December 2017, just one year before he was thrust into the spotlight in 2019.

Built over 130 years ago, the property Matt called home was put on the market in March 2020 before it sold for a whopping $1,120,000 in May this year.

‘After lockdown last year I just wanted a bit of a change of scenery… but it didn’t quite go to plan,’ he said of his move.

The handsome star quietly unpacked his two-bedroom home into a similar estate in a Sydney inner suburb where he is living with his pet Labrador, Pluto.

He is currently working in his industry as a data scientist.

‘I decided I wanted to move towards A.I. work, and data science is the natural path there from where I was in my career,’ he said. 

‘It’s really fun and has enormous real world application!’

Over the weekend, Matt set pulses racing as he uploaded a scorching image of himself posing topless.  

Flaunting his etched abs, bronze tan, full beard and long, Tarzan-inspired locks, Matt looked worlds away from the geeky suitor fans remember. 

‘It’s a beautiful day,’ Matt wrote in the caption, adding a sun emoji and tagging his location as Sydney. 

Fans immediately went into meltdown over the eye-popping image, with one commenting: ‘Ummmm okay now you can teach me science’.
