According to many experts and those who have worked for her, the British monarch is extraordinarily funny. Richard Griffin, Her Majesty’s former aide, told The Times about a time American tourists did not realise they were speaking to the Queen during a visit to the Balmoral estate.
Failing to recognise the monarch, the tourists asked if she lived nearby.
She quipped back (albeit truthfully) that she lived in the area.
They then asked whether she had ever met the Queen.
Standing with a police detective, she cleverly retorted: “No, but he has, pointing to her aide.”
During another trip to the Chelsea Flower Show in 2016, Queen Elizabeth chatted to gardener Jekka McVicar.
The gardener said to the Queen that the lily of the valley, a white flower used frequently in bouquets, has been used as poison in the past.
According to Hello, the Queen was quick to make light of the situation with a little joke of her own.
She said: “I’ve been given two bunches this week.

“I’ve seen some very comical moments,” he said.
“I’ve seen people literally faint in front of her. It’s quite a startling moment as to what to do when you faint in front of the queen!
“There’s a lot of trembling knees and people can’t talk sometimes. It’s quite difficult talking to people when they can’t talk.”
