They will pay! Biden vows to 'hunt down' ISIS fanatics behind Kabul suicide bombing

    In the early hours of Saturday, the US military conducted an airstrike against a member of so-called Islamic State in Afghanistan who was believed to be involved in planning the bombing on Thursday.

    In a statement, Mr Biden promised further strikes against Isis-K.

    The US President also warned the situation at Kabul airport was “extremely dangerous” and that another terror attack in the next 36 hours is “highly likely”.

    Mr Biden said: “This strike was not the last.

    “We will continue to hunt down any person involved in that heinous attack and make them pay.

    “Our commanders informed me that an attack is highly likely in the next 24-36 hours.

    “I directed them to take every possible measure to prioritize force protection.”
