Nicki Minaj dons luxe ensemble as her husband Kenneth Petty files lawsuit sex offender registry

Nicki Minaj was seen in a series of social media shots on Thursday donning a Saint Laurent top with a flowing mane on blonde locks. 

In the snaps, Nicki, 38, sat next to a pool area of a luxury home while accessorizing with sunglasses, bracelets and a watch. She rounded out her ensemble with shorts, heels and a matching handbag in the series of images.  

The snaps came as the pop star’s husband Kenneth Petty has filed a suit against the state of New York and its Criminal Justice Services department, seeking to have his name removed from the New York State Sex Offender Registry.

Petty, 43, said in the legal docs, reviewed by TMZ, that he was never notified about a hearing on the matter in October of 2004, when he was in custody in prison.

Petty told the court that official notification about the hearing was forward to an address he didn’t reside at, as he was incarcerated.

He said that someone forged a signature on the documents that read, ‘Kenny Petty,’ according to the outlet.

Petty told the court that the process was sabotaged to thwart him from attending the hearing, at which officials would determine what his risk level was as a convicted sex offender. At the time, he was classified as a level two sex offender.

Petty, 43, said in the legal docs  that he was never notified about a hearing on the matter in October of 2004, when he was in custody in prison 

Petty said his constitutional rights to due process were violated in the course of how the hearing was conducted, as he never got a chance to defend himself.

Petty said that the course of events has caused him suffering and a loss of money. 

Petty was arrested in March 2020 in connection with failing to register as a sex offender, after he was previously arrested in November of 2019 after authorities determined that he was only registered in New York, not California where he had moved months earlier.

Petty in 1995 was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in connection with a 1994 incident with a 16-year-old girl.
