Dramatic footage circulated on social media showed demonstrators and police in an angry melee outside the doors of the building in White City. Other clips on Youtube showed a crowd of several hundred stood outside the building.
One Twitter used posted: “Official Voice protesters try storming the BBC studios at white city but them come up against a heavy police presence- they are protesting against vaccine passports and vaccine for kids.”
A BBC spokesman told Express.co.uk he was unable to comment and asked us to send an email.
Unconfirmed rumours circulating on Twitter have suggested the BBC had “barricaded the doors”.
Express.co.uk has also contacted the Metropoliitan Police for details.
