She told fans she had ‘finally made it’ and got herself down to her target weight and size of 9st 10lb and size 10 clothes.

In a proud caption, Chanelle penned: ‘So I hit a personal goal recently and now weigh back inside the 9 stones!

‘But not everything is about what it says on the scales… in the first pic on the left I didn’t even know my weight because I didn’t want to… although I know it was around 17 stone as I had surgery not too long from that pic (I took that picture to use as inspiration to get healthy again).

‘What I do know is that I couldn’t walk up the stairs that day and opted for the escalator on that trip. I also had to put talc under my boobs, in between my thighs and under my upper arms to stop the rashes I would get from chafing.

‘I avoided every mirror or reflection and generally did not care about or like myself very much.

‘On the right pic, I still get nervous around my reflection in case I see the person I was before who was so desperately unhappy and I still get under boob chafes, but I feel so proud to post myself looking and feeling confident and healthy again.

‘My weight and addiction to food has held me back for so many years I have to pinch myself when I remember I am healthy again and can fit into normal sized clothes without a crying episode in the changing rooms.

‘What is your goal weight / size? Mine is 9st10lb and size 10 clothes and I have finally made it! [sic]’

Last week, Chanelle revealed the shocking bruises and cuts she was left with after having her gastric sleeve operation – one of the methods she used to help lose weight.

The one-time pop star explained that she was pumped with gas during the procedure, but reassured fans that this was the only ‘painful’ bit of the surgery.

Speaking very candidly about her body transformation, Chanelle also detailed how she felt ‘really tired’ for the first four weeks and has been left with ‘some’ sagging skin.

Asking a question on Instagram, one fan quizzed: ‘Was your surgery a really painful experience and what was the pain like afterwards?’

Chanelle replied: ‘The only painful bit was the gas they pump into you but that would be the same for any form of laparoscopic surgery.

‘Actually… I had a hiatal hernia repair because they found a huge one when operating so swallowing hurt a little, again though that wasn’t the actual weight loss surgery just the other stuff he fixed at the same time xx’

Drawing an arrow to one area of bruising, Chanelle added: ‘Injecting myself wasn’t nice though for the following weeks’.

Elsewhere Chanelle explained that she can eat ‘everything’ after the surgery and was given a diet to follow for the first few weeks.

And reflecting on the recovery from the procedure, Chanelle said she felt ‘very tired’ for the first four weeks.

Chanelle posed a snap of medications and penned: ‘Well this was my bedside table for the first week or so. I just felt very tired for the first 4 weeks.

‘Due to my hernia repair I was on only liquids for 4 weeks so that was draining for me. But I powered through and my body adjusted.’

Writing a lengthy caption alongside her post on Wednesday, Chanelle detailed the ‘five lessons she’s learnt’ since having surgery – including how her relationship with food has changed and that she exercises differently now.

She penned: ‘5 lessons I have learnt since having weight loss surgery.

‘1. It does not change my relationship with food. Bariatric surgery is only a tool, if I don’t use it consistently and correctly it will fail. Addressing abnormal relationships with food is so important if I want to become healthier physically and mentally.

‘2. Not everyone will understand my choice and that’s ok because it is MY journey. ‘Just eat less and move more’, ‘you’ve taken the easy option’, are a few comments I’ve heard along the way.

‘Believe me, it is not easy (wish it was!) and it was not an option I took lightly. But it has been the best decision I’ve made in terms of my health.

‘3. Exercise is different now. I’ve always enjoyed working out (I’m actually a qualified PT, crazy as this may seem) but I actually feel proud to exercise and improve my body after all the junk I’ve been feeding it all these years. It’s my way of saying ‘hey body, I’m sorry for abusing you…here’s an olive branch’ (or a dumbbell).

‘4. Weight looks different on everybody. I am trying to stop focussing on other people’s weights because my only competitor is myself.

‘Ten people could weigh exactly the same but have completely different body compositions. Selfishly (but thankfully) I now only care about myself and mine.

‘5. Even though I’ve lost weight, I’ve grown as a person. I have been every size you can think of and can empathise with the issues that come with them all. I realise people may plaster on a smile – at any size – but not be ok beneath the surface.

‘Going through this experience has really given me a better understanding of private struggles and how easy it is to hide them.’

The star then ended her post saying: ‘Thought I would share this today on #womancrushwednesday because my #wcw this week is ME… and I don’t think I’ve ever been able to say that before.’

It comes after Chanelle showed off her dramatic face weight loss in shocking before and after snaps on Friday.

Taking to Instagram to upload the snap she spoke about her weight loss and how she ballooned to 17st4lb and wore size 18 clothes which led to her confidence ‘spiralling’.

She went on to tell fans that when she was at her lowest all she saw on Instagram were ‘people portraying perfection’ but that she wants to be ‘transparent about her experience’.

She penned in the caption: ‘I’ve seen a lot of comments online calling me two-faced because years ago (2016) I did interviews saying I was happy being bigger than a size 8. Just to clarify, I was only a size 12 at this point, weighing around 12 stone and I did feel comfortable and happy with how I looked.

‘Over the following years my weight and lack of confidence spiralled and I had reached 17st 4lb and wore size 18 clothes. My health (mental and physical) was impacted and the happiness I felt at a size 12 was no longer there.’

She added: ‘I don’t like influencers who claim to love products or feel a certain way in order to earn money and me changing my mind about my self-image didn’t earn me any money, it just refocused my mind to put my health front and centre. I

‘ don’t ‘change my mind’ in order to gain financially, I’ve turned down a lot to stay true to myself.

‘I’m sharing these posts to be transparent about my experience, not to push products or snake oil. When I was at my highest weight , and lowest emotionally, all I saw on Instagram was a bunch of people portraying perfection. And I felt like a failure.’

She signed off by saying: ‘Nobody has a perfect life, everybody wants something they don’t already have. So this is me showing that it’s ok to feel less than perfect, it’s ok to choose a different road to what we thought we wanted, and that being me is enough.’

It comes after earlier on Friday Chanelle shed further light on her gastric sleeve surgery and shared images from her stint in hospital and her pre-weight loss body.

The star, who is 5ft4in tall, shared an throwback image showing her wearing just a thong and detailed how she was 17st4lb when she decided to undergo the surgery before losing 13lbs prior to the operation.

Hurt: In a Q&A with fans, she also explained the reasons for going under the knife, as she penned: 'It was an accumulation of things: medical issues related to obesity, mental health deterioration, I hardly left the house. I needed a second chance at my health'

Chanelle was asked if she felt she had any options, to which she wrote: ‘Yes definitely. I would have continued eating myself into an early grave had I not tried surgery. It isn’t for everyone and I researched it extensively and it changed my life.’

She also revealed that she had excess skin from her huge weight loss but she insisted she would prefer the loose skin to having her health.

One fan branded Chanelle brave for going public with her weight loss. Hitting out at the stigma attached to surgery, Chanelle replied: ‘For some reason it’s got such a stigma attached to it and it shouldn’t have.’

Since having her secret surgery, Chanelle now weighs 10st1lb and has a ‘normal’ BMI range after a total loss of 101lbs, 7st2lbs.
