The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their second child this summer. The couple already have a two-year-old son, Archie, who was born in the UK. However, a past experience with a night nanny after Archie was born reportedly left the couple reluctant to hire more childcare.
Speaking on Channel 4’s ‘A Very Royal Baby: From Cradle to Crown’, royal expert Omid Scobie said: “Very few people know the real story behind it.
“After Archie’s arrival, Harry and Meghan wanted some help to establish a sleep pattern. They hired a night nanny.
“Whilst I can’t go into someone else’s employment details for legal reasons, it was an incident on one of the first nights that put the couple off from having a night nurse.”
Mr Scobie also spoke about the story in his biography of the Sussexes titled ‘Finding Freedom’.

“She helped them out on very much a 9-5 basis and it was a great working relationship actually despite reports.”
According to reports, the heavily pregnant Meghan could be giving birth to her second child “any day now”.
The Duchess has not disclosed exactly when her baby is due but told Oprah Winfrey in the tell-all interview that their daughter would be arriving “this summer”.
The Daily Beast’s Royalist newsletter has said that Meghan’s due date could possibly be in May.
It read: “The Royalist was always taught summer started in June, but there have also been rumours the baby was due sooner than that, so we think the answer is ‘any day now’.”
