The Duke of Cambridge praised the team’s “top performance” after the Three Lions pulled off a stunning 4-0 win over Ukraine. The victory on Saturday means the England team will progress to the semi final of the football tournament.
England’s next match will take place on Wednesday at Wembley Stadium in London where the team will fight for a place in the final.
The much anticipated semi-final match on British turf will be against Denmark.
On Saturday evening, Prince William took to Twitter to celebrate the tremendous victory.
He wrote: “Another top team performance and clean sheet from England tonight. #Three Lions.”
He continued: “Well played to Ukraine. Can’t wait for Wednesdays semi final! Onwards.”
He finished by signing the tweet with “W” and a fist bump emoji.
Prince William attended England’s previous match against Germany earlier in the week where the Three Lions team won a 2-0 victory.
He was also joined at the Wembley stadium by his wife, Kate Middleton, and his eldest son, Prince George.
