A new statue of Princess Diana will be unveiled at Kensington Palace in London on Thursday. The day would have been Princess Diana’s 60th birthday. The event will see Prince William and Prince Harry meeting together for a second time since he and his wife criticised the royal family in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.

The first time they met since their estrangement was for the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip on April 17.

Now, former political advisor, Ayesha Hazarika said the Royal Family is trying to promote the image of Kate Middleton and Prince William, but that they are missing Prince Harry and Meghan’s “star power”.

Speaking to CBS News the former political advisor said: “William and Kate are really being pushed to the fore in terms of publicity, particularly Kate Middleton.

“I think what the PR machine behind the Royal Family is trying to do is turn William and Kate into the new Meghan and Harry.

“They took that very, very personally.

“They felt really ashamed of the Royal Family and quite embarrassed about Britain.”

The BBC’s Jonny Dymond spoke about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s popularity.

He said: “Harry and Meghan were very, very popular.

“They sucked up an awful lot of the oxygen.

“And so, with them off the scene, there is certainly more attention paid to William and Kate.”
