Seal is opening up about his parenting relationship with ex-wife Heidi Klum, or lack thereof, revealing there is no ‘teamwork’ on her end.
The 58-year-old singer (born Henry Olusegun Adeola Samuel) was married to Klum from 2004 until their split in 2012, and they share four kids, Leni, 17, Henry, 15, Johan, 14, and Lou, 11.
Seal spoke up in a new interview with US Weekly where he was asked about coparenting his kids with Klum, revealing, ‘It can be challenging.’

‘It requires teamwork. If you are a team, if both parents are a team, then it’s really easy and that’s not a real challenge at all,’ Seal said, while promoting his Boomtown Gala performance (which raised $250,000 for charity).
‘But you have to be a team. And if you’re not a team, then it can all fall to pieces,’ he said.
When asked specifically if he has had any ‘teamwork’ with Klum, Seal added, ‘No. … I never had that teamwork [with Klum]. We never had teamwork.’

The couple split in 2012, with Klum filing for divorce, but it wasn’t finalized until October 2014.
The exes made headlines last year when Klum filed an emergency motion claiming Seal wouldn’t allow their kids to travel, for Klum to film Germany’s Next Top Model.
They ended up travelling with their mother for the shoot and returned to spend Christmas with Seal.

Their oldest child Leni has started to follow in her mother’s modeling footsteps, which Seal isn’t a huge fan of.
‘That’s a precarious road to take,’ Seal said, adding that the path to professional modelling, ‘seldom’ ends in happiness.
He added that Leni and the rest of her siblings are, ‘just not all that impressed’ with his music career.

‘We never really talk about my music at all,’ Seal added, though he admitted they don’t have the same ‘challenges’ as other kids.
‘They live in a nice house. They don’t have to worry about food on the table. They have the benefit of a great education,’ he added.
Klum moved on from Seal, marrying Tokio Hotel singer Tom Kaulitz, while Seal is dating a secret partner who makes him, ‘extremely happy’ and is all about ‘love and teamwork.’
