She’s one of Australia’s most popular and recognised TV stars.

But Sonia Kruger kept a low profile in sunglasses as she jetted from Perth to Sydney on Monday.

The Big Brother Australia host, 55, cut a casual figure in a black T-shirt and matching coloured pants as she arrived to Sydney Airport.

Sonia teamed her stylish ensemble with a designer wool coat and wore comfortable white sneakers.

She curled her long blonde locks and covered her famous face with a mask.

Sonia’s trip comes after she revealed the unexpected perks of working for Channel Seven, almost two years after she defected from the network’s competitor Nine.

Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph in April, she revealed that her marriage has benefitted from the switch, as she and her Seven news executive husband Craig McPherson now work for the same employer.

‘[Back when I was at Nine] it was a case of one of us coming home every day in a good mood and the other one coming home in a bad mood,’ she said.

‘I can say that life is definitely easier cheering for the same team.’

Sonia has achieved huge success since signing with Seven, hosting several big-ticket programs for the network including Big Brother, Holey Moley, Dancing With The Stars and The Voice.

The hard-working presenter is currently hosting her second season of Big Brother.

Big Brother Australia continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm on Seven
