Steph was completely distraught by Carol’s story and started crying as she gave her heartfelt reaction.
“It absolutely breaks my heart that you’ve had to go through that,” she began.
The presenter started to struggle with her words, adding tearfully: “Having to hide who you are like that.”
Carol replied: “Yeah, for over 30 years of my life I just said, ‘I can’t have a relationship with anybody’.”
