The style trend Zara once loved that Camilla will not try – 'nothing' will change her mind

Queen Camilla is a royal fashionista, but she has recently revealed that there is one thing she will never do in the name of fashion. Zara Tindall, on the other hand, experimented with this trend many years ago.

In conversation with Vogue to commemorate her 75th birthday, Queen Camilla spoke about her close relationship with her granddaughters, Elisa Lopes, 14, and Lola Parker Bowles, 15.

The royal expressed that the two teens were growing up fast, experimenting with “new make-up and funny-coloured hair and stuff”.

Camilla also stated that the girls are rocking pierced ears – which is something the Queen Consort is yet to succumb to.

Asked if she would take the plunge and get her ears pierced, the royal stated: “And they are not going to be.”

Camilla continued: “No, I’m not going to give it to myself for a 75th birthday present.

“[The grandchildren] will try to persuade me, but nothing’s going to pierce my ears.”

Earrings are hugely popular with women in the Royal Family, with the likes of Princess Kate and Duchess Meghan Markle frequently stepping out in a lavish pair.

Queen Elizabeth II was also partial to a pair of button pearl studs which she was rarely spotted without.

    DON’T MISS

But just because the now Queen Camilla does not have actual holes in her ears, this doesn’t mean she does not like earrings and cannot enjoy them.

Throughout her time in the royal spotlight, Camilla has worn some show stopping clip-on earrings.

At the No Time To Die world premiere, the then Duchess wowed in diamond drop earrings.

These appeared to be the Van Cleef and Arpels Magic Alhambra earrings – a jewellery brand Camilla absolutely loves.

Princess Anne was reportedly unfazed by the new look, only pausing to ask her daughter if she was able to eat properly.

Nowadays, Zara seems to have swapped her tongue piercing for diamond drop earrings or coloured ones which coordinate with her outfits.

Some of the younger, less senior royals have experimented with other piercings in their time.

Lady Amelia Windsor, 27, and Lady Marina Windsor, 30, have both been spotted with ear piercings not in the earlobes.
