Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez left fans feeling emotional after their Movie Week performance to a Grease hit in Movie Week on Strictly Come Dancing. TV presenter Helen has managed to avoid the dance-off so far but her long-term future on the show has been questioned. Dancing with the Stars expert Gary Edwards claims she may not be “finalist material”.
Helen had a great night during Movie Week with her dance partner as they took to the floor to Hopelessly Devoted To You.
This week they are taking on the Paso Doble to Tamacun by Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Helen has a lot of work on her hands.
Worlds away from the dances she has learnt previously, the Paso could throw a spanner in the works.
However, Helen did admit she did not feel like the ‘sexy’ numbers came naturally to her, so she may feel more at home with a Paso.
Professional dancer Gary Edwards said although she was performing well, there was only so far she could go.

He said: “I just get the feeling she has got a limit of how far she can go.
“I think [her last dance] was OK, but it wasn’t bad either, it just didn’t light any fires for me.
“I just found it quite average really, definitely not finalist material, for sure.”
The expert added: “It’s still early days but I don’t see there’s anything in there that will get up to the next level.
“I don’t see the potential for the final at all, it’s just the consistency of being average.”
“She’s running along like a marathon, holding middle-pack, so I don’t see anything special yet.
“I don’t think it’s one to watch but it will be interesting to see how far she goes.”
When it comes to Jayde Adams and her partner Karen Hauer, Gary said they were one of the “most likeable couples”.
However, he questioned whether Jayde was able to push herself any further in the competition.
He said: “They look as if they get on really well but there’s something lacking in that connection on the dancefloor on a dance level.
“At the moment it’s very enjoyable, it’s very good but I’m not sure how much better it can be.
“I think she’s probably had some of the better dances for her already.
“The relationship is inspiring but the dancing is lacking. It’s almost as if they are dancing independently, the lead and the follow is not there at all.”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday at 6.30pm.
