Naga Munchetty’s quiet life in Hertfordshire town where average house price is £723k

    Naga Munchetty, 47, often appears on TV screens in millions of homes up and down the country on BBC Breakfast. She also appears on BBC Radio 5 Live. The journalist formerly presented BBC World News and BBC Two’s weekday financial affairs programme, Working Lunch.

    She also appeared on the 14th series of Strictly Come Dancing where she was paired with Pasha Kovalev.

    Away from the screen, Naga can be seen relaxing in her home in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire with her husband James Haggar and their three cats.

    Rickmansworth is a town in southwest Hertfordshire that’s just 17 miles away from Central London, making it the perfect location for a commuter like Naga.

    The Hertfordshire house has been home to the couple since 2010 and is where Naga says she feels “safe”.

    Properties in the town of Rickmansworth don’t come cheap, with homes selling for an overall average price of £722,972 over the last year, according to Rightmove.

    The majority of sales in Rickmansworth during the last year were detached properties, selling for an average price of £1,189,588.

    Flats sold for an average of £391,762, with semi-detached properties fetching £643,231.

    What’s Naga Munchetty’s home like inside?

    Naga has shared photos of her home on Instagram in the past which often contained her cats.

    The 47-year-old’s home has an immaculate lawn and an adorable sage green garden shed. The fences of her garden have also been painted dark green to match the shed.

    In the living room, Naga can often be seen chilling with her three cats on a cream, leather sofa. Pink and blue cushions are also nestled on her sofa.

    Behind the soda is a red sideboard which contains various ornaments including a print which has “J&N” written on it.

    The living room also has hardwood flooring and a multicoloured, textured rug. Cream curtains hang by patio doors which lead out to their garden.

    In the kitchen area, there is stone tile flooring and beech wood kitchen cabinets.

    A cat flap can be seen on her backdoor along with other pet necessities such as a mat and food bowls.

    In her free time, Naga plays jazz trumpet and classical piano.

    She is also a keen golfer with a handicap of nine in 2015. In October 2012, she won the Hertfordshire de Paula Cup at Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club.

    Naga is a committee member of Moor Park Golf Club, where she presents the annual Charity Golf Day in June.
