George Clooney, 61, and his human rights lawyer wife Amal, told the world on CBS this week that they have never exchanged angry words with each other in their lives.

George confirmed the fact to CBS Mornings in a joint interview with his other half, admitting: “It’s just been easy. Like the easiest thing in our lives by far. We’ve never had an argument,” before Amal verified the actor’s surprising statement to be true.

Despite their 17 year age gap, the pair are clearly besotted with each other, and yesterday, the couple looked more loved up than ever as they attended an event at New York Public Library, courtesy of their Clooney Foundation for Justice.

George has spoken admiringly of his wife’s work rescuing journalists from imprisonment or human rights abuses in countries ranging from Azerbaijan to Egypt, although he also cheekily admitted that she didn’t know how to boil an egg.

Due to her background in human rights, starting a justice foundation together seemed to suit their interests perfectly.

Amal looked stunning at the event as her thick and lustrous hair hung in bouncy waves above her shoulders, and she donned a gold dress embellished with silver fringing and crystals.

The red-lipped, dark-haired beauty gazed with adoration at husband George, and he reciprocated the look of love while modelling a chic black suit, complete with a white shirt and a bow tie.
