Floyd Mayweather has 'no strategy' for Logan Paul fight as boxing icon issues KO threat

Floyd Mayweather has claimed he has ‘no strategy’ for his fight with Logan Paul as he warned he can knock out his opponent whenever he wants to. Mayweather, the greatest boxer of his generation, will take on the YouTube star in a six-round exhibition in Florida next month.

Mayweather won world titles in five weight classes, and effectively retired in 2015 after his victory over Andre Berto.

He has since taken his professional record to 50-0 with a win over Conor McGregor in 2017, and fought in a mismatched exhibition bout against Japanese flyweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.

Paul, by contrast, has fought just twice – both times against fellow YouTuber KSI, who won by split decision in their pro rematch after the pair drew their amateur clash.

And Mayweather claimed he will be able to end Paul’s challenge at any point when asked what strategy he will use in Miami on June 6.

“No strategy, I’ve just gotta show up,” said the 44-year-old, quoted by Barstool Sports.

“If I want it to go one round, it’ll go one round. If I want it to go two, [it’ll go] two. It’s all up to me.”

Nevertheless, Mayweather has dispelled any notion he is underestimating his novice opponent by working overtime in training – after he was pictured spattered in blood following some gruelling sparring sessions.

‘Money’ posted the images to Instagram, saying: “This s*** is blood, sweat, and tears for me.”
