“It was hard. When I crossed the finish line in the 100, I just cried because I’ve potentially just had my last race because you never know when you’re last race is going to be,” she added.
“I’ve just broken the world record, I’ve just done something I never thought I would be able to do and there’s nobody here.
“Your family can ring you and they can celebrate down FaceTime with you, but it’s not the same at all.”
She will be hoping for that to be rectified next year when Japan plays host to the World Paras, while the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham will host her event for the first time in her career.
“I’m just so hopeful next year we can have that crowd and everyone that was going to go to Tokyo can have another chance,” she finished.
