Manchester United’s poor defending sparked debate across the country, with Graeme Souness and Micah Richards taking turns to argue with each other over Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s mishaps. However, despite it being rare to see Richards animated live on air, it certainly wasn’t Souness’ first clash. Express Sport takes a look at some of his most famous incidents.
Multiple Paul Pogba rants
Souness has made no mistake of his hatred for Paul Pogba.
Often perceived to be the opposite end of the midfielding spectrum to Pogba – with the Frenchman lacking work-rate but being laden with skill, and Souness the opposite – he often embarks on tirades over him.
“Let’s put it this way. If your agent comes out and says three or four times ‘I want to get Paul a different club’, Paul does enough interviews to say ‘My agent’s out of order, he’s got that wrong’,” Souness said.
Gary Neville
It was always bound to happen that these two would clash.
Neville and Souness clashed over the biggest issue at Manchester United after the 5-0 drubbing at home to Liverpool.

Perhaps the funniest part of this clip is Jamie Carragher’s smug smile as they continue to bicker following his former side’s annihilation of the Red Devils.
David Jones
Souness has even had a go at the presenter of Sky’s Super Sunday, David Jones.
Speaking after Manchester United’s drab 0-0 draw with Liverpool in 2019, Souness was halfway through a sentence before saying “Why are you looking at me like that?” to a rather bamboozled Jones.
It quickly turned awkward in the studio.
DON’T MISS
Simon Thomas
Another Sky Sports presenter fell slain to Souness’ bad temper.
Neville and Thomas were debating whether Wayne Rooney could play in the USA, and as they ramped up the talks, Souness looked incredibly angry that he wasn’t able to partake in the conversation.
Jamie Redknapp
Souness also has it in for Jamie Redknapp, it seems.
Redknapp backed up that man again Paul Pogba, before Souness shut him down by saying “If the referee doesn’t see that as a foul, then he knows nothing about football either”.

Thierry Henry
Do not interrupt the Scot, as Thierry Henry found out.
After a draw between Tottenham and Arsenal, Henry spoke when Souness was conveying a point, until he was met with an “I’m talking!”.
His remark quickly shut the Frenchman up.
