Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were seen in the teaser trailer for the upcoming western series 1883, which was released on the official YouTube channel for Paramount+ on Sunday.
The upcoming series is centered on a family traveling through the American West as they make their way towards Montana in search of a better future.
The program serves as a spin-off from the drama series Yellowstone, and it is set to make its debut on the streaming service in the near future.

The teaser begins with Margaret Dutton, played by Hill, speaking about the realities of the frontier, stating: ‘I heard a thousand stories, but none could describe this place.’
Shea Brennan, portrayed by Sam Elliott, is then shown during a moment of reflection while the singer’s character screams at an offscreen occurrence.
While a cowboy tends to a herd of livestock, Dutton is heard stating: ‘the road west is filled with failures…it was a dream, and this dream was coming true.’
The married couple and their eldest daughter Elsa, played by Isabel May, are then seen joining a sizable caravan of pioneers that later attends a somber burial.

A battle between what appears to be Union and Confederate forces was shown, and a corpse-filled battlefield only served to heighten the tensions of the surviving soldiers.
Margaret’s husband James, played by McGraw, then defends his wagon from a group of attackers and fires a shot towards one of them.

Development on the project was first revealed earlier this year when the project was known as Y: 1883.

The project was greenlit after the original series’ creator, Taylor Sheridan, signed a deal with ViacomCBS and MTV Entertainment Group in order to work on several new shows.
The producer later released a statement regarding the agreement, and noted via Deadline that he was happy to be working on new shows related to the drama series.
‘I am excited to continue the story of Yellowstone and…to keep on expanding the family for the fans,’ he said.

1883 is currently set to be made available on the Paramount+ streaming service on December 19th.
