Redmayne, 39, returns to screens tonight as a guest on the Graham Norton Show which airs at 10.35pm on BBC One. He and Irish actor Jessie Buckley will join Norton to promote their West End rendition of musical ‘Cabaret’. London’s Playhouse Theatre will open its doors on November 15 for the musical first performed in 1966.
Also on the chat show studio will be comedian and writer Stephen Merchant, Strictly star Motsi Mabuse and legendary actor Ian McKellen, who is currently starring in The Cherry Orchard.
Elton John and Charlie Puth complete the star-studded line up and will perform ‘After All’ from Elton’s ‘The Lockdown Sessions’.
Eddie became one of the world’s most sought after actor’s after his Oscar-winning performance as astrophysicist Stephen Hawking in 2014 film Theory of Everything.
Having picked up a string of acting awards for the role in 2015, a year later he also received an OBE from the Queen at Windsor Castle.

However, this was not the first time Eddie had rubbed shoulders with royalty, having been in the same year as the monarch’s grandson, William, at Eton College.
During a November 2018 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Eddie was asked what it was like playing rugby with the young Prince at school.
Eddie confirmed: “I did play rugby with Prince William.”
He then added: “I always felt a bit sorry for him because basically any school you played, all they wanted to do was tackle Prince William in order that they could say ‘I tackled Prince William’.
The actor didn’t elaborate on whether or not the pair were close at school, or if they have struck up a relationship since.
However, the duo were publicly spotted together at the Cambridge County Polo Club in July 2015, among a host of other stars, just after Eddie received the Oscar nod.
The actor also once revealed the interaction he had with Her Majesty, 95, while receiving his OBE.
Eddie, who was named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in June 2015, told the Telegraph: “It was absolutely wonderful.
“Also being with such extraordinary people, the whole experience is incredibly humbling and also getting to be in Windsor Castle is breathtaking, around Christmas as well with all the decorations.”
Astronaut Major Tim Peake was given a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George by the Queen during the same ceremony.
He was being recognised for his services to space research and scientific education after becoming the first British person to walk in space.
Eddie added: “[The Queen] was asking me whether I prefer film or theatre, and asked me if I enjoyed it.
“I’m very lucky to do something I am passionate about ‒ I’m very grateful to do something I love because it is a rare thing.”
