The Bachelor's Tara Pavlovic breaks down after tearing her nail off

After becoming a mother earlier this year, former Bachelor star Tara Pavlovic has revealed she can’t stop crying.

And the 30-year-old was feeling emotional again on Thursday after ripping her nail off in a freak accident.

She broke down in tears on Instagram Stories as she explained what happened.

‘Okay, so don’t mind the face I’ve just been bawling. I just did the dumbest thing ever,’ she said in a video.

‘It hurts so much, so i was just past the office, got some packages done, went to the car put Paddy [her son] in and then I just slammed the car door and it’s ripped my nail. Like, the whole nail has been ripped out of the socket.’

She asked her followers if they’d ever experienced such a situation.

Nail update: Not long after, she updated fans, telling them she had an x-ray, removed the nail at the doctors so it could grow back

The former reality star later shared an update, telling fans she’d had an X-ray and had the removed by a doctor so it could grow back. 

‘They gave me local [anaesthetic] for the finger which is heaven,’ she added. 

She also revealed she’d been given antibiotics to fight any infection that could occur.

Tara’s painful experience comes after she welcomed her son Paddy in May with husband Nick Shepherdson.

At the time, she was absolutely swooning over the newborn, to the point of tears.

Sharing a sweet video of Paddy sleeping in his crib, she revealed she couldn’t take her eyes off the new arrival. 

 ‘So obsessed,’ she wrote in the caption of her Instagram Stories post. ‘I can’t stop crying every time I look at him’.

The ex-reality star shared the good news of Paddy’s arrival in an Instagram post earlier on Sunday, sharing a sweet photo of her newborn son. 

She wrote in the caption: ‘Welcome to the world Paddy George Shepherdson. 

‘Words can’t describe how beyond in love we are with you. We are so grateful that you arrived happy and healthy and we will love and protect you forever.’ 

In the image, little Paddy lays alongside an ornate plaque that reveals he was born on April 30, at 2.26pm, weighing in at 3.505 kilos and at a height of 52cm long – with the tot having arrived slightly earlier than expected.

Tara revealed she was expecting her first child in October, only a month after she and Nick had married.  

Tara and Nick tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in September 2020, after being forced to postpone their wedding in April due to the pandemic.    

The pair had known each other for 10 years before exploring a relationship together in 2018.

She rose to fame on Matty ‘J’ Johnson’s season of The Bachelor in 2017.
