AFL star Bailey Smith says he was offered ‘$50,000’ to sleep with a man he’d never met after THAT fake nude photo went viral on grand final day

AFL star Bailey Smith has spoken out about the darker side of his meteoric rise to fame in a candid podcast interview.

The Western Bulldogs star – who is one of the AFL’s most followed players on Instagram – said on the Common Chaos podcast that was bizarrely offered ‘$50,000’ to sleep with a man he’d never met after the stranger got hold of his phone number.

The crude offer came just weeks after Bailey, 20, had to debunk a fake nude photograph of himself that went viral on the day of the AFL grand final.

‘I stopped looking at (my DMs) two weeks ago,’ he told hosts Cartia Mallan and Ashton Wood. ‘I’m even getting these now – I don’t know how they got my number.

‘Sends a screenshot of his bank account – $50,000 to sleep with this person. It doesn’t stop going.’

He then spoke about the fake nude photo leak, which he proved had been doctored after posting the original to his Facebook account.

‘There was a fake nude of me that got shared around Australia,’ he added. ‘This was like the day of the grand final, the biggest game of my life, and the boys showed me.

Leak: The offer came after a fake nude photo of the 20-year-old was leaked online. Bailey later confirmed the image was doctored, and had been created using this shirtless picture

‘They knew it was Photoshopped… it was weird. It got sent around to everyone while I was playing and then I addressed it after.’

When asked if he was worried about the photo during the game, he continued: ‘I had to compartmentalise, and I thought I’d sort it out after.

‘I completely left it there, I knew future Bailey can take care [of it]. In the past – oh my God, that would send me off.’

He then proceeded to show the hosts both the real and fake photograph, and neither could believe at how badly Photoshopped the image was.

Bailey had also debunked the nude photo rumours while enjoying a night out following the Bulldogs’ defeat at the hands of the Melbourne Demons at the AFL grand final in Perth.

TikTok user @brodeeezy posted a video of Bailey at the bar, showing a group of female fans swarming around him and asking about the infamous picture.

Bailey explained to them how one of his shirtless photos had been edited to make him appear fully nude, and showed them the original image as proof.

It’s unclear who edited the photo to make Bailey appear completely naked, but it had been circulating online for months.

He also made light of the situation again by posting the original picture on Instagram – where has has 335,000 followers – along with an eggplant emoji.
